About 10 years ago I noticed giant spikes appearing on buildings around the towns and cities. I later learnt they were to keep away pigeons and stop their... leavings from eroding the building work. Of course as a kid who knew of naughty boys how'd climb on everything I had other ideas of why they were there.

Also invisible walls suck. Block all the alleyways with vans, set the game on a floating continent, heck put force fields every where just give me a reason why I can jump that knee high fence!

What tired game tropes do you hate?

Sorry for getting this late, but if you combine the complex (or at least complex-er) backgrounds, all the new characters in the last panel, and the busy week I've had, well, you get a late comic.
Video game tropes, can't think of many I absolutely hate other than maybe the 1 hit point wonders and instant death traps everywhere.

. . . and if we're just seeing her speech translated for our convenience, then what was up with comic #22?

For some reason, it cut off the comment title, and since I'm a guest, it won't let me edit. The title was "So if Chansey doesn't speak English . . ."

Chansey and Audino were speaking in Pokemon and it was translated for our convenience.

The Pokemon text box as commenting on how Chansey was getting confused with Audino's name.

The worst video game tropes would be Invisible Walls and Falling into water and dying. I'm talking to you Altair and Slimline Sonic.

The one that gets me is carrying enough weapons, ammunition, and explosives to start World Wars III through VI and still being unable to get through a locked wooden door.

The most annoying thing in Skyrim is when you're the dragonborn, who with your godly powers of shouting goats off of cliffs and xp grinding your sneak ability on the Greybeards, is when you get attacked by a measly pack of skeevers. Ugh, do I hate the dungeons in that game.
