Fan service is a tricky subject in games. I don't believe a game should be demonised for having it, or heck even based around it, but it can detract when overdone. Worst case to my mind, Soul Calibur IV. I still don't know what Cassandra was thinking with that outfit.

The Tomb Raider series went out of it's way to re-invent it's protagonist without an emphasis on sexual features though with it, she quickly became a magnet for disaster. I guess fan service acts a shielding system. Whether it's worth it or not is up to the individual.

Oh, and this script was actually written by my brother, Firebrand128.

Meh. I find that if I don't like something, I usually don't pay any attention to it. Sadly, that's not always possible.

The writer of Once Stung wrote this? The more you know I guess.

I actually thought that was Roll talking with Lara. And then thought there were 2 Laras. Who is the dopleganger?

Fanservice... lets not lie people... we all like a bit of it here and there. The issue here is about how much, and what kind. I definetly dont want to see it over and over and it being suggestive.

The other problem comes from fans who are all about it. It makes other more important things be ignored in favor of seeing female assets.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of overly fanservicey stuff. Like, I'm here for a game/show/whatever else, not to be shown as much of the female body as is deemed permissible.

Why else would chainmail bikinis be so popular? Fanservice is better protection than inch-thick steel plating.

Was that a reference to the Red Dragon Inn games?

EDIT: Also, liking the All Might picture. I'm guessing your a fan of anime?

Not really a specific reference, more of a general-purpose observation.

Also, yes, very much a fan!

More like a reference to GURPS :Dc

I like Fanservice, but when it takes away from the gameplay, then it's a problem.

Still, if not at the Meggy Memorial Hospital, then where did Lara get her Surgery? Sounds rather odd. Then again, she could have had it in another hospital.

Still, I wonder if the Star Fox Unit will make a return. I mean, aside from a one shot joke, we haven't seen them, and I've seen characters from obscure games make two appearances in some cases.

Especially Arch Janitor Roger Wilco. Would have never known he existed if not for this comic.

Probably the same place Dante from Devil May Cry turned from a 30-something badass into a 20ish emo brat.

So, wait, if the Memorial doesn't offer that service, who does? I'm not kidding, I am legitimately curious about that now!

For what it seems, the ACTUAL creators of the videogames do it. Who creayed Lara Croft's new game? Who did would be the responsable one.

This procedure is foil to the Moe train.

Fanservice doesn't bother me. I don't care how a female character looks as long as they are good character and or can be badass.

*UP*. Blowing *UP* space pirates.

Please, god.
Guest522 edit delete reply
I dont get it. It says blowing up. It has always said "blowing up" there. Eurasia has always been our allies.

Where is doctor Kirlia? Is she still arguing with Tsareena?
