This week's episode was delayed by the big American Sport type thing. Goooo... Wildcats? Luigi's Vacuums? Skins? Not much to say besides from Roll looking adorable no matter what hairstyle she's got.

Other news: Gardevoir is in Pokken. Yay! I'll have to wait until we know more about it first before including anything into the comics of course.
Also we do an arc starring Proto Man and the Protomen make a new album. Even with Smash Bros out we are predicative wizards of incredible caliber.

And don't forget to rate and leave a comment. We got no ratings last week. I got sad.

Yes, the Technodrome did end up eating a bit of my time, but thankfully Calvinball and other such sport-type events are out of season so I can focus more on... not-sport-type events.

On another note, the only real reason Roll has pigtails is because of clarity. If she still had her ponytail, it'd be difficult to tell she still had wires coming from her head. Maybe she wanted to spice things up or something. That also means I haven't drawn Roll's regular hairstyle since... Style Un-savvy, a full eight comics ago. Huh.

Also, it was really fun to draw Proto Man with goofy and exaggerated facial expressions, since he's usually the quiet stoic-type person. I'm assuming there's a ton of Protomen references in here, but I'm not a big fan of video game cover bands, so I don't catch on to any of them.

Anyway, that's all for this week. Remember to rate the comic, comment the comic, and subscribe if you wanna see comics similar to this one. See ya.

EDIT: Also yeah I used the Mii style in the last panel there. Who needs arms, anyway? Apparently, Black Mage's hands turned into eyes, which is probably my fault entirely. Whoops.

"Hey, girl. Is that a Power Ranger in your hair, or are you just excited to see me?" ;3

Protomen references?
The only one I could spot was "keep kids quiet" and that was a song between Joe and the Sniper so I don't know if it was intended or what.

Speaking of which, yeah, The Protomen just dropped "The Cover Up" a short album of covers that might be the soundtrack to a movie that Joe watched taking place in the middle of How the World Fell Under Darkness.
Either way there's a sick cover of The Trooper, Danger Zone, Silent Running, and a bunch of other 80's tracks.
Go buy it, available for digital download and on I-shit-you-not cassette.

(Comment not in any way paid for by The Protomen, don't question it, we have control, we keep you safe, we are your hope.)

I still don't get how robots can use wires to connect their brains like that and not have a single driver incompatibility...
DryKirby64 edit delete reply
Roll and Proto Man were made by the same guy, Dr. Light. So their drivers are probably compatible with each other somehow.

Another good one and I guess Roll ran out before Protoman could put his helmet on he must have had a lot of E-tanks on him during the journey.

How you can forget a person who is literally attached to your head is beyond me.

Man, when you're in a big enough hurry you forget your own name. If you think that's not true, you simply haven't been in a big enough hurry.

My eyes drifted to panel 3 first when I checked this, and then I had to go get some cookies out of the oven. For 15 minutes I was wondering what Proto Guy was saying.

Also what's Sienfeld?

In-universe version of Seinfeld taking place in Sien, Germany. Whät's thé dèál wíth thät?

And what's THAT?

A show from (I want to say) the 90's, following the shenanigans of Jerry Seinfeld and friends.
MisterM edit delete reply
Actually, Seinfeld was a famous sitcom in the 80s, revolving around the life of fictional character, Jerry Seinfeld, and occasionally his rival and/or friend, George Costanza. It claimed to be a "show about nothing".

Hope my limited knowledge of 80s sitcoms helps. I know I'm a nerd, don't judge me

If you wanna get most of the references here, I recommend lurking on TVtropes. I'm pretty sure all 4 of the guys working on this are addicted to it.

never heard The Protomen, so this entire load of author appeal goes completely over my head. Then again, I'm probably gonna use such similar author appeal in a later review on my blog, so...
Guybrush20X6 edit delete reply
For the record, there is no Protomen reference in this strip. Lots of "The Megas" ones though.
Iamabrawler edit delete reply
I'm just as guilty. I'm probably gonna use dozens of references to Dream Theater songs when I'll be discussing Super Paper Mario.

They know that the fourth wall existed/exists! It's cannon now! You have cannonized the cracking of the fourth wall! (Cracked, because while they know it's there, they also know it's not ALWAYS there, and don't know when it is there, except for a few obvious exceptions... like Smash Bro's).

stay awsome comic makers quick question though.any chance of seeing a starbound char having to be hospitlised for something? and how would there world handle things added from mods for some games?

I can see Black Mage and Protoman becoming good friends in the future. I don't know, they seem similar, ranting about things and such. But I guess it will have more sense if they become more like frienemies. Heh.

Also, I'm more of a The Mega's person. They even sang one song with Brentalfloss!!
