This week we bring you a comic in rhyme
It's hard, not something to do all the time.
Gruntilda, you see, is less than nice,
If you rhyme with the same word twice.
Hope you like the new style Giga tried today.
I recommend Child of Light, give 'em your monay.
10th May 2014, 8:33 PM
I needed a boost, so I tried a new style.
What do y'all think? Is it worth our while?
(Or should we discard it on top of the pile?)
I threw in some cameos for those who expect
The appearance of
to make it perfect!)
Comment, subscribe, and give us a five!
That is what keeps our comic alive.
(This peace is what all true warriors strive--)
11th May 2014, 12:11 AM
I played no small part in this comic's creation.
Literally no part, not even narration.
I may seem a freeloader, piggybacking the fun,
but as much as I know, it's just for this one.
You see my schedule's full with both work and merriment,
so one tick off my list was truly Godsent.
So onward I rhyme, just cuz I feel like it.
If you think that I shouldn't, well go suck an egg.
11th May 2014, 2:09 AM
...Not even going to try.

I feel like i'm on freakin' drugs when i read this...
10th May 2014, 8:13 PM
Don't do drugs...
unless you bought enough to share.
11th May 2014, 7:35 PM
Pass em over sir also,pear
16th Sep 2016, 7:38 PM
Uh, it feels weird to read this,
like the first time you receive a kiss.
I'm not good at rhyming, but I'll give it a try,
I hope you like me making up words on the fly.
By the way, you definitely shouldn't do drugs,
those substances are associated with thugs.
So yeah, I liked this week,
but the artwork could kinda use a tweak.
Well anyways, I'm through, I'm done,
so if you thought this was bad, I'll go get my gun...
Edit: Looking back now, I just... Just no to me from a month or two ago. BAH!
10th May 2014, 8:50 PM
This... is crazy all over.
But I reeeeeeaaally like the art style.
10th May 2014, 11:50 PM
I see the new art, that is rather cute
And it's refreshing to see, there is no dispute
However, I'll say, since I'm unaware
The titular child, she comes from where?
(Yes, I realize I've disgraced rhyme again.
But to type in this style is more than a pain.)
So I must say a word, in fact more than one
Forgive me for asking, my knowledge is none.
10th May 2014, 11:54 PM
Well, I see I've been fooled, and I will not utter lies.
The game she is from was before my two eyes.
Again I am sorry, that much I'll say,
And I was a moron, at least for today.
11th May 2014, 9:03 AM
... I don't get it.
11th May 2014, 1:36 PM
Neither do I, my good friend;
I was puzzled till the end
No idea what's the game
Must admit, it's kinda lame
While this new art style is cool
I hope it's a one-time thing;
A reference, but not a tool
I find this new style confusing
11th May 2014, 6:50 PM
The game is called Child of Light.
It's in the description, directly in sight.
The title is a pun on the name as well,
At least as far as I can tell.
12th May 2014, 12:19 PM
I before A except after K
11th May 2014, 12:48 AM
Too much rhyming. I couldn't possibly play a whole game like this. It'd drive me insane.
11th May 2014, 7:07 AM
But to us its really quite plain
11th May 2014, 6:59 PM
I'm afraid I do not care for this style.
Making sense of it is too great a trial.
The game focused on seems a great waste of time.
Trying to sort through and make sense of those rhymes.
It's hardly a master of rhymes; that would be
That great and glorious musician, Tom Le-
11th May 2014, 7:13 PM
I wonder what she's in here for;
[But] to me, simple rhymes are a bore.
[Only having] Noncomplex ends today,
With just two words I say;
Just C-C-C-COMBO BREAKOR!
11th May 2014, 7:42 PM
I am really rhyming just to fit in,
To not would truly be a sin,
I must conclude, something is amiss,
I simply fail to see the point of this
(HOLY FREAKIN GOD THEY GOT ME DOING IT NOW)
16th May 2014, 2:29 PM
Fear not, for you aren't alone
Out of all the comics this one shone
as the one that rhymed and had a new style
I just hope this doesn't last a while
11th May 2014, 9:04 PM
The comic's style itself is mostly fine,
but, you might want to swap the colors,
or perhaps add in a borderline.
Though I do find, that once you start a rhyme,
it feels wrong to stop,
as though a crime.
11th May 2014, 10:19 PM
But is it really enough to comment all the same?
I'm not really sure one would do that while sane.
I've tried Child of Light, and I liked it too,
But does Finn have to have his frightened shades of blue?
11th May 2014, 11:51 PM
I need some help, o please hear my ple,
this makes no sense at all, so explain this to me.
I get the joke, that they are rhyming a lot,
But riddle me this, what of the plot?
12th May 2014, 2:20 AM
A young girl appears, seeking mental assistance,
while introducing a rhyme scheme that proves its persistence.
But while it's innocent enough to entrap one in lyrics,
BM rhymes a word with itself, plus a prefix.
Gruntilda steps in, a veteran of this craft,
and curses BM for being so daft.
The humor here is derived from Black Mage's pain,
and also he broke the rhyme scheme what an idiot.
12th May 2014, 2:36 AM
I'm sure his recovery won't be detained.
Thanks a lot for breaking the rhyme,
Should I subject you to the same?
Maybe I won't, but there'll be a time.
After all, what would I hope to gain?
12th May 2014, 10:10 PM
(Warning: there be no rhyme to this rant, but this rant be about rhymes)
This is incorrect. It's not a prefix. Mental is as in brain, detrimental as in to one's detriment, or against there benefit.
Did you see what happened there? It's not detri-mental, it's detriment-al. I understand why ol' Grunty would do that, she doesn't care, but she's not completely correct on the front of disgracing rhymes.
(If anyone wants to try and put that to rhyme, be my guest.)
13th May 2014, 1:26 PM
This rant is in rhyme, as foretold by above
These lines will fit perfect, like hand in a glove.
Grunty is wrong, detrimental lacks prefix
But she should not be mad, it was just reflex.
It's derived from detriment, to someone's vexation
To the term mental, it has no relation.
No rhymes were disgraced, and Grunty won't care
But she has no right to shock B.M. there.
13th May 2014, 1:51 PM
I've already dropped the rhyme scheme like twice now.
It's not about whether detrimental is TECHNICALLY the word mental with a prefix, the point is, is that the word detrimental contains the word mental, so rhyming the two is lazy and possibly bad poetic behavior.
20th May 2014, 12:09 AM
STOP IT YOUR HURTING MAH BRAIN
13th May 2014, 10:44 PM
The rhyming is a pain,
One I'd like to detain.
But I shall not do so,
For it is time for me to go.
14th May 2014, 6:06 PM
Are you planning for this to be a new style?
I'm not sure it's worth your while.
Although it seems to fit this strip well,
Because it looks like a magic spell.
15th May 2014, 12:31 AM
This comic is on drugs I swear to the gods.
15th May 2014, 12:52 AM

An account that belongs only to me
Now I can make comics! I'm unstoppable now!
If only someone would tell me how!
17th May 2014, 5:04 AM
You're in luck! I've just the thing:
A video to help you gain your wings!
Here's a panel
I once presented
Now for Hurricane it is meant...ed.
17th May 2014, 8:44 AM
*a wild gruntilda appears*
the power of rhyme has been wrongly used
and it is you who I have accused
*lightning bolt of dewm at giganerd*
20th May 2014, 11:07 PM
Yes, but you just did the same thing as BM just now. Giga did rhyming badly, but just to make a point, you are as guilty as BM.
As in, I'm pretty sure it was a false accusation. Delivered by me, your punishment is to listen to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hiHIyqgAteI&feature=kp at full blast. With headphones. (Earbuds, if you have them.) Similar effects at most, not as painful in total.
25th May 2014, 3:05 AM
Hurricane, I implore, about your comic. Please tell me more.
What is the general idea, setting, plot?
Can I keep rhyming? I'm afraid not.
To break this street I will say this.
Seriously though, can you tell me about the comic you are planing to wright? I'm working towards starting one myself currently as well.
It will be a comic called Not Lavender Town, that takes place in the Pokemon world.
26th May 2014, 2:18 AM
You see that's the thing!I'm not quite sure
I get so many ideas and can't tell what's better
I guess I'll just wing it and go as I go
As for the story eventually I'll know
17th May 2014, 8:02 AM
Slant rhymes everywhere.
18th May 2014, 4:38 PM
(Ugh, do I really have to do this?)
You all rhyme quite well, tip of the hat.
But in BM's defense, how would you rhyme with that?
18th May 2014, 4:41 PM
How about, "Doesn't matter, I'm in this job for the DENTAL"?
20th May 2014, 9:31 AM
I thought that Rvan was talking about the Alt Text.
To rhyme with "lobes", I would probably use the word "probes". In other words:
"My Temporal Lobes!
It feels like it's being penetrated by Probes!"
21st May 2014, 9:18 AM
No, I WAS talking about the word Mental.
So yes, that works, but it hardly seems to fit what Black Mage wanted to say there, is it? I think he did pretty well, all things considered.
(try rhyming with THAT! Ha!)
19th May 2014, 1:53 AM
So when's the next update? Was I supposed to do it...?
19th May 2014, 5:18 AM
No. It'll be out soon.
19th May 2014, 3:16 AM
The word is "disgraced."
19th May 2014, 5:57 AM
well at least the typo still rhymes (sorta)
11th Jun 2014, 11:41 PM
Seeing Gruntilda in here was quite a treat
As was seeing the Black Mage getting beat.
30th Apr 2015, 1:59 AM
Ah its warms my heart to know that the Banjo-Kazooie universe is a part of Venatus Prime. Kinda surprised you used the Nuts & Bolts design. Most Banjo-Kazooie fans and Rareware fans in general want to forget that even though it wasn't that bad of a game.
24th May 2015, 4:26 PM
Oh hey, rhyming game. Hope I'm not too late.
But I likely should have come at an earlier date.
Oh well, this one's good. Though the art is quite... changed.
But I'm done with this rhyming. Next time I'll be prearranged.
26th Oct 2015, 6:15 PM
NAw guys. just *BOOOOOOM* that was the brain. again.
